On Wednesday night, I had the absolute privilege of hosting 24 people at Equals for the first of my LinkedIn workshops this year—a sold-out event on a very rainy Amsterdam evening.
A self-proclaimed fan of LinkedIn, I’m inspired to support others in maximising the platform. Essentially, LinkedIn is a database of information with check boxes and drop-down menus for us all to populate.
What I love about the platform is:
The personalisation through your banner and headshot.
The storytelling in your headline and about section.
The ability to add media, links and documents to share your work.
Social proof in the form of recommendations and endorsements.
Passions, causes, volunteering and top voices you follow show more about you as an individual and what you care about.
The list goes on and on. Last year, I committed to learning more about LinkedIn, and I feel pretty good standing in front of a room of people sharing my passion today.
The power is in collective learning, the conversations and questions from the attendees were inspiring and energising for everyone present. I believe that by contributing to others and supporting them on their professional journey, we all succeed.
Big shout out to my first LinkedIn story-telling audience, and Equals for hosting us, you made this a night to remember 🌟
Stay tuned to find out what's next on the agenda.
